Inditherm
Medical have recently introduced a warming system specifically designed for
patient warming in veterinary practice.
The product range, PetTherm, is suited for use in routine small animal
practice and for larger animals such as horses.
PetTherm uses
Inditherm's flexible polymer technology to provide a patient warming system
dedicated for veterinary application, and offers highest performance and
convenience available. This system
builds on the existing human medical product ranges, which are already well
established for use in the perioperative and neonatal areas.
The unrivalled
warming is achieved due to the uniform heating surface and built-in pressure
relief foam. PetTherm is
lightweight, compact, easily cleaned and requires minimal maintenance. Mattresses and blankets are all X-Ray
translucent.
Mortality and
post-operative complications in pets are often high, due to hypothermia during
surgical procedures arising as a result of inadequate warming. Large animals are also prone to the same
problems due to the difficulty finding an adequate warming system. Inditherm's PetTherm system now makes it
possible and convenient to warm all animals effectively before, during and after
surgery.
