Further developments of the IndithermPlus temperature control system have delivered even higher precision process control. Driven by one of the more demanding applications in the confectionery industry, Inditherm have produced a version of their innovative heating technology that can deliver unrivalled temperature performance.
A system has recently been completed for an international, leading brand manufacturer which can maintain all parts of a chocolate tempering circuit with a precision of better than ±1ºC, despite the pipework complexity. The system copes with all the demands of inconsistent heat loss characteristics associated with bends, unions, take-offs, etc, without any variation in process temperature. This is achieved by having the amount of power delivered into each section of the heating system individually and independently controlled.
A further advantage of the system is the ability to change process temperature quickly, avoiding the lags and delays associated with water heating technology. This performance is delivered by harnessing the inherent heating properties of Inditherm’s patented carbon polymer with the unique local control devices and bus-based communication techniques. Unlike traditional electrical heating, Inditherm’s technology has no hot or cold spots and delivers precise, even temperature at every point in the process.
The first project using the latest version of the IndithermPlus control is also fitted with the IndithermPro food-grade insulation and cladding system. The complete system gives a state of the art solution which has applications throughout the food and confectionery industry for temperature critical ingredients or processes, such as chocolate, sugars, syrups, etc.
