Following an invitation from the Prime Minister, Inditherm Chief Executive, Nick Bettles, attended a reception at 10 Downing Street on 7th July. The invitation was in recognition of Inditherm Medical’s business success in overseas markets.

Lord Mandelson welcomed the guests, representing around 100 UK businesses, and stressed the importance of exports in leading the economic recovery. The Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, addressed the group and offered his congratulations for the export achievements of those present.

In the official national Press Release from UKTI after the event, Inditherm was one of only three businesses singled out for specific mention. The item highlighted, amongst other Inditherm activities, the clinical advantages and cost savings the company’s medical products can offer. It noted that the Inditherm systems can warm patients during surgery at the same running cost as a light-bulb. This underlines the cost and environmental savings that the NHS could also benefit from.

Inditherm CEO, Nick Bettles, commented: “Naturally it was an honour for Inditherm to be invited to 10 Downing Street, and pleasing to see recognition of our achievements. This underlines our success in growing the company’s medical product export business and we hope to rise to the challenge of making further strides in the coming years. We will continue to work with our network of distributors, who are making significant efforts to promote Inditherm products and many of whom are enjoying growing market share in their countries as a result”.
