Inditherm v gel pads and operating table mattresses

The unique design, fully integrated into the mattresses, provides excellent pressure relief. There is therefore no requirement for cumbersome and inconvenient gel pads. This added benefit has been proven to out-perform traditional gel pads and standard operating table mattresses.

The case for the Inditherm system was proven in a scientific study, which determined the difference in interface pressure between four mattress combinations: a standard operating table mattress, a pressure-relieving gel pad and an under-patient warming device set at 38°C (Inditherm System) and at ambient temperature.

Clinical Research

During research on the pressure relieving properties of an intra-operative warming device, it was concluded that with its inherent pressure relieving properties, the Inditherm system can help prevent pressure sores during the intra-operative period and may offer superior pressure relief compared with commonly used gel pads.
