Inditherm drum heaters are designed for both internal and external use and can be fitted to containers sized from 25lt to 205lt. The construction is a one piece heated, insulated jacket that surrounds the circumference and lid of the drum.
The heated jackets use Inditherm's patented, low voltage carbon polymer technology to provide the heating. Unlike other forms of heating, there are no hot spots. Inditherm also produces unheated jackets that are suitable for materials where insulation only is required to retain heat.
Heated systems are also available for cradle mounted drums, ensuring full heating coverage and easier decant of the drum contents. Operating temperatures of up to 90°C ensure that the heaters can be used for applications ranging from frost protection to fast product melt out
Inditherm also produces portable drum heating systems. Click here for further details>>
Metal Drum Heater Plate
The drum heater plate is constructed from two metal plates with U section edge supporting brackets to give structural strength. The top, heated plate of the unit has a carbon polymer heating pad attached to its underside directing even heat through the full area of the plate surface.
There is a layer of insulation contained between the back of the heating pad and the bottom or cold side of the plate to ensure thermal efficiency.
The unit temperature is controlled by a PT100 temperature sensor on the heating pad. This is powered from a transformer control unit with a digital, adjustable temperature display panel.
The heating pad is powered using 24Vac output from the transformer.
The temperature is adjustable between 0 and 100ºC.
The drum heating plate can be powered jointly with a drum jacket using one transformer control unit (with twin controllers fitted) or using a separate transformer control unit.
