With escalating fuel prices, along with the EU
Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) coming into force in 2005 and other climate
change programmes, most organisations are paying increased attention to reducing
their energy usage. Additional taxes are now levied against companies that do
not demonstrate quantifiable reductions in their energy usage or emissions, and
larger energy users now require IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention &
Control) Permits. In addition, in many countries, workplace legislation is
forcing businesses to reduce workplace temperatures.
Inditherm can help companies achieve
their energy reduction objectives in several ways:
- Reducing heating costs. Because Inditherm's
CPT draws much less energy than competing technologies, it is an ideal weapon
in the energy reduction armoury. Energy savings can often exceed 75% of
traditional heating technologies (e.g., trace heating, hot water), leading not
only to easier compliance with new legislation but also rapid returns on
investment.
- Reducing energy wastage through improved
insulation. Inditherm has significant expertise in providing insulation
solutions to cover hot surfaces, either with its removable, insulated covers
or with fixed insulation and cladding.
- Reducing carbon emissions. Many organisations
use boilers to produce hot water, steam or other hot liquids for their process
or facility heating. Using Inditherm heating may eliminate the need for a
boiler altogether; for example in industrial process factories (food,
chemicals, oil & gas), soccer pitches, or precast concrete
plants.
