Inditherm plc has established itself as a
cost-effective provider of innovative solutions to difficult heating problems
using its unique, carbon-based polymer technology. Based near Rotherham
in South Yorkshire, England, Inditherm develops and manufactures heating solutions
for markets as diverse as confectionary and food processing,
chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, medical, utilities, construction and sport. The
company was floated on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) in 2001.
Applications include patient warming and heat therapy within the medical
sector, critical temperature management for industrial processes, accelerated
concrete curing in construction and pitch heating within sports stadia and
training grounds.
The Company's unique, patented, conductive polymer technology (CPT) operates
at low voltages (generally 6V to 12V dc or 24V to 65V ac) and generates uniform
heat output over its entire surface area. The operating temperature
is from ambient up to 120°C (250°F). CPT's fabric-like qualities mean that
it can be fitted over almost any shape, as well as being ideal for heating large
areas, such as concrete decks and sports grounds.
One of the main benefits of Inditherm is that
it costs much less to run than traditional methods of heating, such as hot
water, steam or electrical trace heating. This is because of the way it transmits
heat into its surroundings. Combined with our expertise in insulation,
Inditherm can help companies reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions,
which is becoming an increasingly important consideration for environmentally
conscious companies throughout the world.
